Florida Utility Solutions, Inc., a proud member of the USA Water family of companies, is seeking experienced and licensed Water/Wastewater Operators to join our Operations team. In this role, you’ll help ensure the safe, reliable operation of water and wastewater treatment facilities that serve our local communities. What You’ll Do
- Operate and monitor water and wastewater treatment facilities to ensure efficient and compliant operations.
- Perform routine inspections and minor maintenance on treatment equipment and systems.
- Collect water samples, analyze operational data, and adjust treatment processes as needed.
- Maintain accurate operational logs and regulatory records.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic mechanical repairs.
- Calculate chemical dosages and monitor flow rates to optimize system performance.
- Assist with plumbing and equipment maintenance related to treatment operations.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
- Promote a safe work environment by following all company safety policies and procedures.
What We’re Looking For
- Current Florida Water and/or Wastewater Operator License required.
- Experience operating water or wastewater treatment facilities.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor equipment repairs.
- Knowledge of water quality testing, sampling, and treatment processes.
- Basic math skills and the ability to interpret operational data.
- Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
